The fact is that you can make a good residual income by working at home with an Internet business. The startup expenses associated with an Internet business income opportunity are nowhere near what it would cost you to startup a regular bricks and mortar business. Selling on the Internet is called ebusiness and millions of people have latched onto this new way of making money, a very good Internet business income opportunity.

Consider all the things you have to do to startup your own regular business. Office space, staff, salaries, cost of equipment – these all add up to a great startup expense. With an Internet business income opportunity, you get everything you need for your Internet business startup for one low cost.

People from all walks of life are starting up their own home based business which lets them work from home on a full or part time basis. If you already have your own computer and the Internet connection, then you are already on your way to taking advantage of an Internet business income opportunity.

An Internet business operates from your own home. Depending on what it is that you do, you don't have to have a stock pile of inventory or deal with shipping products to customers. You can become a reseller, which means you simply take the orders from customers through your website. You do need to find a supplier for your Internet business startup, but this is only easy to do. With this type of Internet business income opportunity, you can sell products from your website by sending the orders to a company, which in turn sends them out to the customers. You retain the profit from each and every sale.

One thing you do need to know about an Internet business income opportunity is that it is not a get rich quick scheme. You do have to work at it and working from home requires discipline. It means that you do have devote a specific amount of time each day to growing your business, whether that is finding new affiliates for your website, adding new products to sell or spending time writing. I'm sure you've seen the ads. Data Entry for cash, Type Simple Data Entry from home, Data Entry Income and more. Can Data Entry from home be a money maker or is it a Scam?

If you are comfortable typing on a computer then Data Entry Jobs may be for you. Often there are misconceptions when data entry that you will be typing endlessly to earn nothing.  The truth is though that data entry is an easy work at home job if you feel comfortable on the computer If you can type at a good speed and be accurate. Of course today with the tools available like spell check, grammar check etc, it makes it a lot easier. In fact it's possible to earn over $40 per hour doing data entry jobs online.

Another misconception is that data entry jobs are scams. This is probably the "too good to be true" adverts with promises of overnight riches working from home. Some people will join a Data Entry program and think that the money will start flowing in. If it doesn't then they call the program a failure. You won't get something for nothing. There are legitimate data entry work programs available. In fact I have a separate Data Entry web page   whereby I highlight what in my opinion are the best and most popular Data Entry programs.

Data entry is one of the more popular  home based business opportunities as it is very low-cost to get started. I have included a list of equipment that you will need to start below:

Computer
Access to Internet
Printer
Business cards

I would also suggest that you use a unique email address. This is merely a suggestion not a requirement.

The potential in the data entry business is great. There are many small and large companies that outsource data entry. Many people are making $1000 - $3000 a month additional income. In order to get to this level of income it is important that you understand the skills that you'll need and where to look for data entry programs.

Please feel free to visit my web page for Data Entry product reviews. If you decide to try one of our programs, please let me know your opinion of the whole process. Your opinion is important to me. I also have a FREE Email Newsletter series, which gives you the Top Rated Data Entry Programs.

Advice For People Who Work From Home

Advice For People Who Work From Home

This article is about what it takes to succeed if you want to set up business working from home. More and more people are looking at this form of work as it has many advantages to it. Article Body:
This article is about what it takes to succeed if you want to set up business working from home. More and more people are looking at this form of work as it has many advantages to it. There are however many pitfalls and you can easily fall into negative traps which ultimately can end in failure for your small business.

I now work from home and have been self-employed for around ten years. I had previously worked in a large office environment and although the pay was quite good, I soon became annoyed at my long commute to work and also with some of the people I was working with. I have always wanted to be my own boss, set my own hours and be able to take holidays when ever I wanted to. Working from home seemed the perfect answer for me.

I run a small business and do not employ anybody, it is just me. Now you may think that this is great and I have to say for the most part it is. For the business to succeed, I need to work very hard and I need to keep coming up with new ideas to keep myself motivated and to keep the business alive. I have to admit, I am not a Monday person and in the early days I found it very hard to actually do any work on this particular day. Working on my own and not having anyone to answer to made it very easy for me to just go back to bed for example. This of course did not help my business and was something I had to get out of doing.

The first tip therefore, is that you need to have self-discipline to make your home based business work. Each week set yourself business goals of what you want to achieve. Treat working from home like you are working in an office, do not be tempted by watching the television or by any other distraction. You have to ensure you put in the required hours to make the business the success you want it to be.

The second bit of advice is to be careful what you eat. I fell into a trap of eating a lot of snack type foods, and did not ever feel that I had the time to cook myself a meal for lunch. I soon started to put on weight and this caused me to lose some of my self-confidence. I needed all of my self-confidence to keep up my belief that I could succeed at working from home. I now make sure that I give myself an hour break for lunch and to re-charge my batteries. I am also careful not to snack in between meals.

Thirdly you are likely to experience good months and bad months, financially. It is important therefore that you start saving so that when you are having a bad period, you have the cashflow to keep the business going. Also keep some money aside to pay the taxman. When I first became self-employed I loved the fact that I did not need to pay tax each month. When I received my yearly tax bill it was quite a shock however and I have since started to put an amount aside each month to cover it.

Most businesses have these peaks and troughs. When business is not going so well, it is very easy to become downhearted and even depressed. I found this working by myself, I had nobody to pick me up from these lows. I have since realised that feeling sorry for myself is not going to help the situation, therefore I have to work even harder during these periods and that I have to keep thinking positive.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this article and I wish you every success with your home based business.

As webmasters, writers and authors we all want to find ways to maximize the profitability of our content.  We employ a variety of methods such as Adsense, Yahoo Ads, links to affiliate products of all types but there are a couple of problems.  There is the sheer time involved in creating these links and then keeping them updated to the most relevant and profitable products.  To avoid a Google penalty you must use text-based affiliate links, as noted previously this can be a monumental task.

Keeping pace with the fast paced changes of the internet can make it time consuming, difficult and expensive to keep all of your content optimized for profits.  What's needed is a breakthrough technology to make it just as easy to keep a website optimized whether you have 10 pages or 10,000 pages of content.  Well, the future is here!  Michael Fortin and Sylvie Charrier have just recently unveiled what may be the single most important innovation for webmaster since Adsense.
While still in beta stage this new breakthrough is already beginning to turn heads.  With just a simple snippet of code installed in the footer of a thousand page website, any group of keywords can be targeted and "automatically" converted to live links to the most profitable affiliate products at Clickbank and Amazon.  Also you can target your own or any other product by designating which keywords, again even if there are a thousand instance of those keywords, once from the control panel.

What's even better is that the program updates the targets regularly and follows the most profitable products without a single edit on your part.  If the hottest selling weight loss product at Clickbank is outdistanced by a more relevant and more profitable product, your links will now be directed to the new profit leader.  Similarly if a product is eliminated or removed your links never die, they just move the next most profitable one.

Can you imagine the work and expense of going back into thousands of webpages, ezine articles, ebooks and manually changing the links.  Please! And can I go back to a typewriter too!  Michael and Sylvie's new software is going to revolutionize the web.

As this is still beta you can expect a few glitches as it is being refined and tweaked.  The early birds already there.  Remember the day you first heard of his software as one day you may be able to recount to others that you were aware of this before it became really big.  I know I though Google's IPO was sort of high and I would wait to pick it up went it came down.

Currently Clickbank and Amazon are "plugged in" to the system but close on their heels are Commission Junction, Digital River, PayDotCom.com, even eBay. All your content can now be working for you, night and day.  The possibilities are mind boggling for a few visionaries legends will be told.

Article Body:
It's been said many times that the single best way to internet riches is through multiple streams of income. I personally haven't found those internet riches yet but I can see where the multiple streams of income can come from.

The average person that suddenly decides they want a website isn't going to come up with a million dollar a week wonder on the first try. In fact most people will never come up with a one thousand dollar a week web site. A couple hundred dollars a week is another story altogether, however. This is an actually attainable goal. I would even go so far as to say it's not really extremely hard.

Of course you have work to do but this type of work will continue to pay off long after you've stopped working. Your site will hopefully continue to grow and exist as long as you pay for web hosting and domain name registration. In my opinion this little side effect of having a decent web site makes the internet better than real estate. A web site that you start up for $90 and allow to grow for a couple or years could not only possibly sell for enough to buy a house if your wise but also earn you steady income during the years it remains in your possession.

I hope you can see the potential benefit of having multiple, very niche specific web sites. Google can dish out a lot of traffic to some pretty interesting search terms. As an example the term 'grasshopper' rakes in about 13,000 searches a month via Yahoo alone. If you focus on something even less competitive like 'african bull frog' you'll find yourself readily picked up by search engines and getting some search engine traffic.

The basic challenge is to pick out a niche that you can find non competitive keywords for. After that grab some hosting and put together a simple, informative site about your niche. Focus on helping the people that would be searching for what your trying to offer. When you have a site that's good for both search engines and searchers alike then throw in a way to monetize your traffic. You could do this by selling services or items, adding an affiliate link or two, or maybe adding some Google adsense ads or something.

I tend to lean toward Adsense and affiliate links because it's easier for me to take care of my web sites. It leaves nothing left to do but add new content every once in awhile and build some back links. To me it almost seems as if I am building a little machine to help me make money.

I'll conclude with a couple tips about web hosting. If you're going to oversee multiple websites I'd go with a web host that lets you host multiple domains on one account. You'll save a ton of money that way and things will be much easier to manage. My host allows me to host up to 6 web sites on one account. If I need more than that I just get multiple accounts. Don't rush yourself either. Take things one page at a time and get things working before you rush off to another project.

Every busines sonline or off line needs a promotion. The type of business we wish to reserch is email marketing techniques.
Using newsletters, announcements, promotions, is a good,  inexpensive way to reach prospects and customers with your message.
Being totaly honest and keeping our integrity we don´t  want  to send promotions without consent  of the prospects.

You probably already have a number of email addresses collected in your contact management softwares. This would be a first source of addresses to use. With time you will know if the prospects are interested or not, usually you will get a notice

Rent lists from vendors that sell addresses of people who have given permission fo address use. There are a variety of vendors who sell targeted opt-in lists for one-time or multiple use. The vendor will do the mailing for you and you retain addresses after recipients take an action that gives you their email. The prices on lists vary widely (usually starting at $.10 per email), and it is likely that you will have to make a minimum order of at least $500.

This can fit into the spam category, and some associations and groups specifically prohibit bulk mailings to members by other members. Some associations will expel you for this kind of activity, but some are more permissive. Do resarch on what is permitted here!

Add a newsletter promotion to your email signature file. In addition to promoting your web site, this is a good way to get people you know to sign up for your newsletter if you aren't comfortable with adding them to the list automatically.
You can often set up list exchanges with other businesses for one-time or multiple use. Make sure that you have the permission of your list members to do this or you can create a lot of anger among your list members.

Many people publish their email addresses on the web. This way is  used by many, by  manually collect these email addresses or use software  to do this automatically. This method is  in the spam category, so not to be  recommeded.

Promote the value of your newsletter or mailing list on your web site and use special functions to encourage sign-ups:
Pop-up windows ,pop Under Windows, registration for articles, etc.

There are simple affiliate-type programs that enable you to buy live addresses from site visitors. Average cost is $.25 per each email addres.s Well, this too fits into a  spam metod, but it can work. Many of those list are more likely not alive any linger either, and had been sold over and over.

Create the opportunity for your subscribers to forward your email newsletter. If your content is high-value, this "viral" method can multiply your subscribers very effectively.
Your great content can encourage subscribers to sign up for your newsletter, and the cost of the promotion is the use of your content. Many newsletter publishers will allow you to promote your newsletter in their mailings for a fee or for some kind of exchange, including promoting their newsletter in yours.

There are a number of sites that promote or list different newsletters for people to subscribe to. You can also join up with other newsletter publishers with common target markets and list your newsletters together on each of the publisher's sites.
The Implied endorsement is nearly the most powerful way to boost return on investment within advertising and email lists.
Presenting a great value to your niche  market and becoming the "must have" newsletter is going to be important in building your list. This kind of value travels fast by word-of-mouth. Not to mention having a product, that is so attractive valuable tha people are raving after it.
The product that creates it value on it own and repays and doubles it´s value: after all you are not after the product solely, you are buiyng a value for yourself, a service , a solution.

There is an array of methods to finding out what your customers are looking for, but the biggest thing is giving them your time.

When home business customers see you going out of your way to assist them and answer their questions, it shows that you care about them. Quality customer service allows you to build relationships with your customers and get away from the computer automated responses.

Once you are willing to put in the time to help your home business customers, you need to find out what they are looking for. If you know what is popular and what the best methods are to reach the customers, your business will be far better off. One of the easiest ways to find this information out is through forums.

Posting in forums is a great way to reel in more business while at the same time finding out what people are talking about. Forums allow you to ask questions and get feedback from potential home business customers. You will find that some responses have a negative feedback, but a majority of the time you can pick up a lot of knowledge and tips to excel your business.

Another way to reach out to your home business customers is to set up an autoresponder or have a weekly newsletter sent out. This is a great method to keep people up to date with what's going on in your business, any promotions going on, and most importantly it gives you the ability to ask questions. There is nothing wrong with asking your customers what they think is the strong points to your website and what can be improved.

One of the most obvious and straightforward methods to find out what's in the head of your home business customers is to put a suggestion box at the bottom of your home page. This gives all of your visitors a chance to offer suggestions and help you provide them what they are looking for.

There are a number of ways you can reach out to your home business customers and find out what they are looking for, and sometimes trial and error can be the best thing out there. Trying out several methods and recording what works better than others will help you increase your traffic volume drastically. All in all, if you want to have a successful home based business you have to be willing to reach out to the customers.

The Importance of Articles in Web Promotion

The Importance of Articles in Web Promotion
Word Count:
656
Summary:
No doubt you have come accross this time and time again; to improve your websites popularity, search engine ranking etc., you need to write articles. You will also probably think, as I did, that I can't do this.

Keywords:
articles, web promotion, site promotion

Article Body:
No doubt you have come accross this time and time again; to improve your websites popularity, search engine ranking etc., you need to write articles. You will also probably think, as I did, that I can't do this.
There are ways around this. You can purchase the rights to articles that will allow you to add your own resource box to the bottom. The content may not be the freshest and the newest, and many others may be using the same content or variations on it, but it is still content with your resource box tagged on at the bottom. There are numerous article submission directories and sites on the net, such as the biggies like <a href="http://www.zapcontent.com">ZapContent.com</a>, to small ones like my own at http://articles.directorygold.com. You will be able to submit your article, even if it isn't original, to some of these without duplicating existing content on the article directory. This is what I did first.
The next possibility is to go somewhere like http://www.elance.com, and pay someone to write articles for you. This is more expensive than the first option, but has the benefit that the article is original, so it is more likely to be copied and published elsewhere. Also, make sure you have the complete rights to the material you commission, so that you may modify, relabel, or amalgamate into an ebook if you desire. Usually, you should get several decent articles for the amount of money you spend.
Finally, are you sure you can't write your own article? That you haven't found out something in your life that will be of interest to others? There is a huge list of possible article subjects at ZapContent and other sites, and you will be amazed at what you do know if you sit and think about it. After all, as I said earlier, I didn't think I was capable of writing an article, yet this is one I wrote myself, and it isn't my first. If you've made mistakes, an article describing how NOT to do something can be just as useful as one describing how to do something. If you still have problems coming up with a coherent article, jot down your notes and pay someone to ghostwrite it for you. Again, check sites like Elance for ghostwriters.
Why write and distribute articles in the first place? Free advertising and promotion. I submitted several articles to a handful (under five) of article directories. Several days later, after Google had done a recent crawl, I did a number of phrase searches on the web. If you enclose your search phrase in quotes, Google will search for that specific phrase. I searched for some of the article titles I had posted, and my own name (admittedly, this is only useful if you have a rare name that doesn't bring up pages of search results for other people of the same name). I found the articles I had published showing up on several websites. What made this even better was that a number of the places where I found the articles weren't places I had submitted them to. Other people had taken my articles and published them on their own websites. So the benefit is, lots of non-reciprocal links pointing to your website, that frequently you didn't have to do anything beyond intially publishing the article to get. Free traffic, advertising and promotion for a few minutes work.
A final note. Make sure the articles are useful, and not just promotional sales letters. They don't have to be long, 1-2,000 words is usually adequate as a maximum length for an article, but don't just publish sales blurb. Your article won't get syndicated elsewhere, and your reputation will suffer. Get known as a source of decent quality articles, and you will become known as an expert.

Hey Buddy, Watch Where You're Pointing That Article

Hey Buddy, Watch Where You're Pointing That Article
Word Count:
593
Summary:
Article Marketing has really taken off lately. But there's one definite way you could completely "blow" the whole thing for yourself, and unfortunately far too many people are doing it lately.

Keywords:
article,article writing.article submission,article marketing,relevance,relevant content,category,category placement

Article Body:
Article Marketing has really taken off lately. Virtually thousands of articles are written and submitted every single day. This is mostly due to Google AdSense and the search engine's keen interest in relevant content.
So everyone's creating high yielding content for their AdSense sites and building significant back links by submitting their articles to high ranking article directories.
Profits are being made, people are being instantly turned into experts in their field, and the search engines are totally loving the constant flow of new content they can show their customers.
But there's one definite way you could completely "blow" the whole thing for yourself, and unfortunately far too many people are doing it lately.
You see, the key factor that makes all of this work is relevance. The search engines want to know that when someone does a search through their system, they'll get exactly what they're looking for. It's what all this talk of changing algorithms are all about.
The search engines are on a quest to find the best way to provide the most relevant material for any specific queries put in front of them, and so they keep changing their algorithms to fulfill their goal.
All we have to do is make it as easy as possible for the search engines to find this specific relevance on our sites and in the articles we write, and we have a marriage made in heaven.
Now when we speak of relevance, there are a number of factors involved. Sure, if you're hoping to get your site listed a the top in the search engines for "baking cookies," your site better be all about baking cookies, and you'd better have a lot of content about it too.
But there's more to it than that.
Even the links on your site should be about baking cookies because the search engines take those into consideration as well when they judge your site's over all relevance. In fact, if your site is about baking cookies and you accept links from sites about car parts, you're actually hurting the relevance of your site and lowering your page ranking.
Keeping this in mind now, there's a seriously unfortunate habit a lot of article writers have gotten into. There are just so many articles being written and submitted to the article directories, that many aren't paying attention to where their articles are being posted.
Most article directories have category choices that separate the content of their sites into specific groupings. These groupings are seen by the search engines as individual "mother lodes" of content. But this true only if these groupings or categories are actually relevant to one specific topic.
Which is why article directory owners have to work so feverishly to maintain the integrity of their categories.
So if you're submitting articles to them just  for sake of submitting, you're not only giving them more work, but you're actually wasting your time and working against the intended purpose of article submitting in the first place.
If your articles get posted into the wrong category, it won't help you because your back link will be in an unrelated place. Plus the value of the category will diminish due to your article about "car parts" being in a category about "baking cookies."
This problem has reached a critical point. Either those submitting articles will have to work at being more accurate in category choices, or the article directories will have get smarter so they can catch irrelevant articles before they ruin things for everyone.

If you are interested in starting your own affiliate problem, you are not alone. Each day, a large number of business owners make the decision to do just that. To make your affiliate program a success, you will need to decide on an affiliate tracking software program

Affiliate tracking software is used to track your affiliates, if you are business owner. Affiliates are the webmasters, web publishers, or website owners that you partner with. This partnership entails you giving your affiliates advertisements, often in the form of links or banners. If you have an affiliate tracking software, that software can be used to let you know every time that one of your affiliate links or banners resulted in a sale. If so, you will then be required to compensate your affiliate. This compensation is often a pre-determined amount that both of you agreed on.

If you are interested in purchasing an affiliate tracking software program, which you should be if you want to start your own affiliate program, you will need to make a decision. That decision involves the type of software you would like to purchase and from whom. Online, you will find that there are a large number of individuals and companies that sell affiliate tracking software. To decide which software is best for your business and your needs, you are advised to examine and compare a number of different programs.

Since there are a large number of different affiliate tracking software programs, you will likely find that each software program comes with its own unique services and features. Despite the fact that each software program is likely to have its own unique features, there are some common features and services that are found on most affiliate tracking software programs. Those features may include, but should not be limited to, customer service support, earning reports, categorization of affiliates, varied commission levels, and affiliate signups.

When you advertise that you are interested in starting an affiliate program it is likely that you will get a number of inquires. These inquires will likely be webmasters, website owners, and web publishers who are interested in signing up for your affiliate program. All of these inquires may be too much for you to sort out on your own. That is why a large number of affiliate tracking software programs also include affiliate signup forms. These forms will help to keep your affiliate applications separate from all of your other important business paperwork.

One feature that is, almost always, included with most affiliate tracking software is detailed earnings reports. Detail earning reports are important for your financial record keeping. Without an earnings report, you would have to calculate all of this information by hand. An affiliate tracking software program can generate these reports for you in a matter of seconds. These reports will often give an outline of your affiliates click rates and their sales on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Varied commission levels are something else that you may want to examine when searching for an affiliate tracking software. Most new programs will offer this feature, but not all programs will. This important feature will allow you to pay each of your affiliates a different amount of money. For instance, you could pay one of your affiliates fifteen percent of each sale, but you may only want to pay another affiliate ten percent. If that is the case, you will need this feature to accurately separate and document the earnings and commission levels for each affiliate.

Another popular affiliate tracking software feature is customer service support. While customer service support is provided by almost all software developers and sellers, it is not offered by everyone. This popular feature is extremely important, especially if you are new to the world of affiliate marketing. With customer service support, a knowledgeable company representative should be able to assist you with any questions or problems that you have.

As a busy event planner – in seemingly endless contact with venues, catering companies, and the oh-so-demanding event sponsor – can you afford to spend time developing registration spreadsheets, keeping track of each registrant's information, recording travel and hotel details, and taking and processing credit card info? For most event planners, the answer is a resounding no. The process of registration is often the straw that breaks the camel's back, causing an event planner's stress level to rise to supreme heights. Keeping track of all the technicalities of registration is a full time job that many planners are still attempting to juggle along with planning the event itself.

So, with the vast reach and simplicity of the internet, why are so many event planners hesitant to switch to an online registration company that will take care of all these technicalities for them?

The answer is simple: they either don't know about it, or they are worried that such companies could in fact complicate their lives. How can I know that information being put out on the internet will be safe? What if my registrants' information is compromised? Will the online registration company use or sell my registrants' information after they have it in their System? With the right company, all of these questions can be avoided because registrants' information will be secure and held safe for the sole use of the event planner. Even more importantly, with the right registration company, credit card information will be encrypted to the highest degree allowed by law, guaranteed by a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption testing company, such as Thawte.

Once you have chosen a company that you know to be secure, you will enjoy features such as an event website with its own URL for registration, custom reports, and the ability to export reports to a wide variety of formats. Using a safe and secure online registration system can simplify the event planning process while increasing registration! And you can be sure that registrants' personal and financial information will be protected at the highest possible levels. Registrant and event planner information that is protected to the highest degree possible offers you a guarantee that the information will be stored exclusively for the event planner's use and will only be stored as long as is necessary. Holding to such standards, ensures that the event registration system is highly resistant to any breach, but if a breach does, in fact, occur, the system will have been monitored so effectively that it can be traced a remedied with accuracy and speed. A vulnerability recovery plan like this one is an essential part of upholding a strong security system to ensure that the system will not be breached. Your registrants will know that their information is safe.

Manually collecting registrations has long been one of the most tedious jobs involved in the event planning process, but it is no longer necessary for event coordinators if they choose a company that will offer the highest possible level of security so that they can enjoy the ease of use of such a comprehensive online registration system. With no need to worry whether or not their information will be hacker-safe, registrants will flock to your event because registering online is truly a far easier process than completing registration be old-fashioned snail-mail. Although giving up control over such a vital piece of the event planning process can be a frightening concept, doing your research to find a company that offers the strongest security for your registrants' data, will save you time to deal with all of the other details of planning your next fantastic event.

Developing a small business into a successful enterprise demands more than passion. Unfortunately, facts speak for themselves. Over half of new businesses fail mainly because the entrepreneur is unable to translate their passion into practical business skills. Success demands more than hard work, resilience, and expertise in your field. In order to succeed, you need to understand and to become proficient in a set of fundamental business skills.

Running a small business requires that you become a jack-of-all-trades. It is important to know early on which skills that you have and those that you will have to learn or delegate to others. When it comes to the skills that you lack, you can learn these skills over a period of time by yourself, you can hire employees who are strong in specific areas, or you can engage the help of a professional business advisor.

Here are the essential soft skills (people skills or anything that is not a technical skill) that you will need to learn or import to help you to succeed in your business:

• Delegation Skills -- Delegation involves assigning responsibility to other people for the completion of work. The ideal position that you want to obtain is one where your staff carries out all the routine activities of your business. Effective delegation involves achieving the correct balance between effective controls and allowing people to complete their job effectively. The key element is knowing how to make your business work, rather than your business working you!

• Communication Skills -- Communication is an important part of life and is one that is often taken for granted. When you think about it, almost everything you do requires improved communications. To be effective in business, you have to communicate well. When you hire a new employee, good communication skills help you select the right person. When you communicate with your various stakeholders, you need to be clear about your expectations and to be sensitive when dealing with problems. The key is to know how to effectively communicate your vision with passion and conviction.

• Negotiation Skills -- Almost everyone negotiates informally on a daily basis without even being aware of it. Formal negotiation is a skill that can be learned through experience and practice. People who negotiate frequently tend to be more skilled at it than people who have not participated in many formal/informal negotiations. Experienced people are more likely to know what to say, when or when not to say it, or when or when not to make concessions. The key is to know how to develop a win-win approach in negotiations with all parties, but at the same time keeping in mind that you also want to obtain the most favorable outcome possible for yourself.

• Strategic Planning -- Strategic planning is a very important business activity. Strategic planning is a process of defining your company's strategy or direction and making decisions on allocations of resources of capital and people. The key is to know how to project your company's future performance, within a three-to-five year framework or more, supported by your well-defined business plan.

• Leadership Skills -- Leadership is a process of getting things done via people. Leadership, a critical management skill, is the ability to motivate a group of people toward a common goal. Leadership is also the ability to take charge, assemble, mobilize, and motivate teams. The key is to know how to forge long-term relationships with prospects, customers, suppliers, employees, and investors.

• Team Building Skills -- Team-building and teamwork skills are essential for an entrepreneur in today's workplace. People working at their potential in teams generate better solutions and more productivity than individual members working independently. The key is to know how to build teams of employees, partners, advisors, and investors that will help you take your business to the next level.

• Analytical Skills -- Today's workplace is becoming more technologically advanced and complex. With this rapid increase of technology, the need for analytical thinking also increases. Analytical thinking is the ability to objectively assess the present state of your business, to determine where you want to be in the future, and what to do in order to close the gap between the present and the future growth of your business. The key is to know how to gather, review, and evaluate data that is necessary to formulate and express compelling arguments.

• Sales and Marketing Skills -- Establishing successful sales and marketing methods and policies - from pricing and advertising to sales techniques - are essential in growing your business. The ability to analyze your competition, the marketplace, and industry trends are critical to the development of your marketing strategy. The key is to know how to craft and communicate a compelling message to the right target audience that generates new business, and in turn, builds profitable revenue streams.

• General Management Skills -- Management involves directing and controlling a group of one or more people for the purpose of coordinating activities that will accomplish a goal. Management encompasses the deployment and direction of human resources, financial resources, and technological resources. The key is to know how to develop and implement a workable management system that will manage daily operations, nurture stakeholders, and support business growth.

• Cash flow Management Skills -- Cash flow is generally acknowledged as the single most pressing concern of the small and medium-sized businesses. In its simplest form, cash flow is the movement of money in and out of your business. Cash flow is the life-blood of all growing businesses and is the primary indicator of business health. The effect of cash flow is real, immediate and, if mismanaged, totally unforgiving. The key is to know how to monitor, protect, control, and put cash to work.

• Financial Management Skills --The activity of finance is the application of a set of techniques that individuals and businesses use to manage their money, particularly the differences between income and expenditure and the risks of their investments. The need for timely budgeting and reporting of financial performance is of the upmost importance. The key is to know how to interpret and analyze your financial statements, in such a way, as to identify the items that are adversely affecting your profitability.

• Time Management Skills -- Time Management is a set of related common-sense skills that help you use your time in the most effective and productive way. Time Management is a very important skill to master. Learning this skill will empower you to achieve more and to use your time wisely. The key is to know how to manage your time efficiently and to focus on the activities most likely to deliver value to your business.

There are different kinds of code — XML, RSS, Atom, etc. — but essentially, they're all just different ways of accessing a feed.

According to Internet expert Sydney Johnston, of  "The great thing about a feed is everybody wins." The article writer gains exposure, the reader learns about something valuable or interesting, and the online seller gets an endless source of pertinent content for their web site.

What Can a Feed Do for My Online Business?
Feeds are useful in a number of different ways:

• They Eliminate Spam Filters.
They're 100% opt-in, so readers can subscribe and unsubscribe at will. Feeds are delivered directly to your subscribers, so you don't have to contend with filters knocking you out of your customers' inboxes.

• They Provide Free Content.
One of the best ways to differentiate your site is with quality content. Supply readers with interesting material; educate them on topics relating to the product you're selling. If you sell preschool toys, you may not want to study child development and write numerous articles on the subject — so find someone else who's already done that and make their feed available to your customers. The constantly updating, applicable subject matter gives your visitors a reason to come back again and again.

• They Can Improve Your Search Engine Rankings.
In the past, search engines were unable to read feeds, but software is now available to translate them into live links the engines can see Search engines love fresh, dynamic content, so feeds are ideal. They provide relevant information that updates automatically. Not only do your customers get the facts they're looking for, but the search engines like your site and give it better positioning.

• For Affiliate Marketers, They're an Alternative to Banners.
You not only give your customer valuable knowledge, but if they click through and purchase something, you get credit. And unlike with banners, you don't look like you're putting up junk ads or spam.

• They Can Increase Your Traffic.
Anything you write, you should make available as a feed. When other sites pick it up, it's free advertising for you. All their traffic is able to click through the feed to your site, so you gain new potential customers you wouldn't have otherwise.

Feeds on any subject are easy to find. There's a whole collection of search engines created just for feeds, like  Says Johnston, "The future of the Internet for entrepreneurs is feeds. If people don't master them, they're going to get left behind. Period."

So you have a nice looking website, which has good content and is well optimised, however you are looking to earn some additional income from the site. What are the next steps you can take to make this happen? This article gives useful tips and advice, which I hope will answer this question for you.

I have a large number of websites and am eager to learn about the latest website promotion methods, and about ways to increase your websites page rank in google.

One way of earning money from your site is by joining one or more affiliate schemes. Commissions vary, however if you have a high traffic site then you can do very well from these schemes.

Joining a program like google adsense is something which I prefer. This is where google place targeted adverts on your website and basically you earn money when people click on one of the ads. Depending on the website subject matter, these clicks can earn quite a high rate of commission. I had one click, on one of my hair loss websites which earned over ten dollars. This is quite rare and on average you will probably earn about forty cents per click. If you have a large number of content based, useful and interesting websites this can soon add up.

How much you earn will depend on how much time and work you put into each website. In my opinion hard work pays off and even though you may hear about certain ways to cheat the search engines, such as by using hidden pages or by joining a link building scheme, this will in the long term do you more harm than good. The search engines employ some of the top people and they are likely to find you out, ban your website from their engine and you also risk being kicked off the google adsense program altogether.

The hard work I wrote about earlier, is by promoting your website the natural way. I believe the key is to build up the number of backward links your website has, that is basically the number of other websites that link to you. These links should be built gradually and I would certainly not ever purchase a hundred backward links, from for example ebay. Where possible you should try and obtain these links from sites from your own sector or industry.

The best way to increase this number of backward links is by writing articles. You are able to include a link to your website in the article and when other webmasters include your article on their website or blog, this then gives you a one-way link. One-way links are the most powerful form of backward link in the eyes of the search engine.

I have been writing articles for quite a while now and it has proven to easily be, the most useful form of website promotion I have found so far.

Yahoo have now introduced a similar scheme to adsense, which I believe is only currently available in America. I have not yet added these adverts to my websites as I am based in the UK, therefore am unable to comment anymore about them.

In conclusion you are able to earn easy cash from your website/s. The more work you put in, the more you are likely to earn. I always see things in the long term, if I work very hard for a number of years, I will eventually have a few websites with good page rank and that is when I will be able to enjoy the fruits of my labour. In the mean time I will treat any income as a form of pocket money.

I wish you all the success in earning money from your websites and hope this article has helped you on your way.
